Rock music is among those genres you can pair with other genres. Whatever the style is, rock music will blend with them well. For artists who want to stick out in the scene, their strategy is to make use of this perk. Popular fusions are country rock, pop rock, dance rock, and many more. However, some go out of left field. An example of this is Rebelution, who are reggae specialists in the rock music scene. They have found their formula for thriving in the scene. They prove that sometimes you do not have to take the same route others used; you can succeed in whatever style you choose as long as you stick to it and be the best at it.
The band has released seven albums and five EPs. All of these releases have peaked at the top of the Billboard Reggae charts. The album that started it all is "Courage to Grow." This debut went public in 2008. It did not take long, and weeks after, the band first appeared on the charts. The album peaked in the top four. Feeling ecstatic, the band did not waste time and immediately recorded their sophomore. "Bright Side of Life" came out in 2009. This time, the band snatched the top spot. From then on, they remained consistent. "Peace of Mind" debuted on the Billboard Top 200 charts and followed suit with the prior album in the first spot of the Reggae chart. "Count Me In" (2014), "Falling Into Place" (2016), "Free Rein" (2018), and "In The Moment" (2021) all peaked either in the top one or two.
The band's year will not be complete without them going out on the road. They will be bringing their breezy rock tunes to many cities nationwide. Overall, they will be performing in 15 cities. They will commence at the Reggae Rise Up Florida on March 15 and will end at the Red Rocks on August 24.
On August 9, they will be performing at the Pacific Amphitheatre with a lineup full of reggae heavy hitters. In addition to them, DJ Mackle, Cydeways, Matisyahu, and Kolohe Kai will be performing at this event. You may be familiar with Kolohe Kai from their infectious reggae-pop hits like "Dream Girl" and "Ehu Girl." A reggae hit, "One Day," gave Matisyahu his big break. Cydeways is quickly becoming a major player in the reggae and alt-rock scene because of their infectious singles "We Won't Run" and "Are You Down." Having DJ Mackle spin tunes is the icing on the cake for this performance. Save the date! Grab your tickets today!
