Doin' It World Tour 2025

Everyone here at The Pacific Amphitheatre over in the beautiful Costa Mesa is so excited to welcome KC and The Sunshine Band to the stage this summer on Thursday, July 31st. Taking on the continent with their Doin’ It World Tour this summer, the 50th anniversary tour will see the band do 11 shows this summer - including one right here during our city’s OC Fair. Featuring family fun, attractions, and a ferris wheel - you’ll be able to suck in the disco vibes no matter where you are on the grounds, for a truly once in a lifetime showcase of talent and pure euphoria.

KC and his Sunshine rockers truly need no introduction with how deep and eclectic their catalogue is. Started in Florida in the mid 70s (so - their name does indeed make sense), the band took the first part of their name from KC’s last name, and began on an appreciation for music and above all, eclectic sounds. They have won three GRAMMYS, have multiple hits across their discography, and are regarded as one of the most popular and successful disco groups of all time. They also have over 100 million record sales, and are credited for progressing the sound to new heights when disco was at its peak. They generally do over 100 live shows a year - so 2025 is the first time we are seeing the band slow down to only 10% of that load. Which is exactly why you won’t want to miss them at the OC Fair, it may be one of your last chances to see the funky crew.

Speaking on the main inspiration for the band and the music they made, Harry Wayne Casey commented on how the craziness of the world actually inspired them. “The widespread social and political issues of the 1960s was, in part, the inspiration to do something that would make people forget about their problems and be happy,” said Casey. “People were looking for something that would divert their attention from the negative aspects of everyday life surrounding them.”And 50 years later - the overall message and energy still lives on in a poignant and palpable way.

We’re so excited to have The Sunshiners this summer, and we’re excited to welcome you, too! Make sure to get your tickets today, and invite all your friends too! See you soon!
